Not even worth one star. Who did they pay off to say they are number one? Nothing at all was seasoned. Very weird to go to a Mexican restaurant and have no spice. The waiter was lost even after my husband spoke to him in Spanish. Next time will never come for us. Terrible terrible terrible!!

The chips weren't great, but the salsa was very good. I got the steak fajitas and they were very good, although the rice and beans were not very good on their own.

I ordered my food for delivery. I was somewhat impressed when my food arrived fast. After going though my food, I realized that part of my appetizer was missing. I called back to have it brought over and had to be "placed" on hold which consisted of the phone being put down and having to listen to the hostess process another to-go order. Then, as I am cutting through my chile relleno, I notice that it is filled with mostly seeds and minimal cheese. The dips were okay. The flan was delicious. Overall, the seeds in my food and the messed up delivery is what got this restaurant the 2 star rating that I gave it. I wouldn't reccommend going here. Try one of the other few mexican restaurants in Clarksville instead!!!

I love Mexican food and I was not impressed. We ordered Guac and didn't get it. They put sauce on my burrito when I asked them not to. My husband's food came correctly, but it was only warm and didn't taste that good. It may be that I have been to many Mexican restaurants and am picky, but I do not like this place. I will not be going back!

This place sucks, fake Mexican food!

This place is ok for Tennessee mexican food. Came for a quick lunch with my husband. Their regular salsa is not very spicy, but you can request a green salsa that isn't necessarily more spicy but it has more flavor. We used for salsa, as well as a topping for our tacos and enchiladas. The service was semi slow for how not busy it was. Prices were about average. Not my favorite Mexican food in the area, but would come back here.

This place is ok for Mexican food, considering that it is located on the KY-TN state line. The service was good and the menu offered many options. Perhaps the food is "spiced - down" for local taste?

Average Mexican food, but HORRIBLE service. My friends and I have been going there at the end of the week day after work for about 3 weeks. This night was particularly bad. My friends and I have only been going back there for their margaritas. Well, no more. My friend ordered his food, but when his food arrived, he noticed that 2 parts of his food was excluded from his order, his beans and small bowl of hot sauce. When he asked the waiter about it, he was told the hot sauce was provided in the bottle on the table and since most of his customers didn't like it, the restaurant didn't bother adding the beans. My friends were already aggravated with the lack of service, and when the waiter replied with a smart remark, one of my friends asked for the manager. The waiter's reply WHILE he was walking away? Something along the lines of "Yeah, hold on, I'm busy, man." Not to mention, the 'subtle' use of Spanish dialogue between the waiter and manager in the back, no doubt about us and our supposed attitudes.

This place wasn't bad. This was my first time in the area and I went to this place for lunch. I had the taco salad with chicken. It was full of chicken peppers and onions. It has a great flavor and they too it off with sour cream lettuce and cheese. It was so tasty I would live to go back and try something else but I'm sure I will get this dish again. I went on a Friday it wasn't busy and food came out pretty quickly.

Horrible service. Staff sits at tables on their phone and watches you stand and wait for service. Staff is rude and food isn't even good

Just left here...food was terrible and service was even worse...don't see how it was voted the best in clarksville

I'm been going here for a couple of years and have always had a good experience... Really surprised by the negative reviews! The people are super-friendly here and the service is attentive. Their cheese fries are good, but the Plato de Birria is exceptionally good- it reminds me of the pulled pork I got in Puerto Rico. Also recommend the Melcajete (sp?)- it's a cauldron, literally, of chorizo, etc goodness :)

  • Miranda P.

This place was okay. The chicken is terrible though don't order anything with chicken. The chicken in my enchilada and taco was dry and rough had little flavor. The beef tacos were good and my husband enjoyed his fish tacos. I also thought the rice and beans were good too. This isn't a place I will come back too there are better places for Mexican food then this one

Im not sure how to feel about this place, I went here for lunch with coworkers and was seated quickly and the server was very nice. The food was decent and cheap but towards the end COCKROACHES came out of the chips we were eating. We had complained to the server who then talked to the manager and he was speaking in spanish and laughing it off. I will not be returning here again.

Was seated quickly for lunch today.. I was with a larger group, but only because NO ONE was in there. Chips and salsa came right away but the salsa was horribly bland. Food came fairly quicky (as there was no one in there). Very small portions. Our 4'11" coworker who barely eats was complaining of being hungry after finishing her meal. Refried beans were horrible! I had to add salt, pepper, salsa and hot sauce just to get them down! We were being stared at the whole time! Would not recommend this place. Only giving 2 stars for friendliness and quick service!

Went for lunch and had the chicken nachos with a two for one bier special. Food was good and the service excellent.

This place used to be good as of last year. We visited last week and my wife got sick from here after being one of her favorite spots. The food was bland, the beans were runny as if they were mixed with water to make them last. Don't get me wrong, the staff is friendly but the foods flavor and freshness shines for its absence. Will check out other Mexicans restaurants in the area.

This place stays pretty busy since the food is usually spot on. I enjoy the Polo Don Pancho.

I don't know what I was thinking when I went here a second time. I want to blame my review of this place on hunger alone, but I was starving the second time around as well ... And it wasn't good. Took my husband there recently, to show him how fantastic the place was ... Bad idea! The service was still good. The guy was nice and delivered our food in a timely manner, plus he kept checking up on us to see if everything was alright. We got chips and salsa immediately, which was nice since we were both starving. The rest of the food though ... Yeah, I don't think so. The tortillas were cold, the taste of everything was bland and I swear my order said it came with guacamole. Overall, it was very disappointing ... I was very embarrassed that I had taken my husband there. Twice was enough for me.

"The food was pretty good not my favorite queso but still really good. The service and atmosphere are wonderful and you get a lot of food for a reasonable price."

I've gone twice and both times I was not impressed. The ground beef is very salty.

  • Renee Q.

Went here for lunch. Was pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken nachos and a margarita. My only complaint is that things should of come out warmer. Every mexican restaurant I have been to dishes come out blazing hot. This place not so much. But the meal was fine. Wonderful service. Will be back!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
